StorLife - Hardware-Independent Storage and Lifecycle Management Solution
StorLife, the new scalable, secure storage technology from SoftCo was officially launched today in Dublin, Ireland. StorLife is a software-only Content Addressed Solution (CAS) that meets today's storage and compliance challenges utilising the performance of magnetic disk, providing scalability, resilience and assured content authenticity.
StorLife is completely hardware-independent. It allows organisations to leverage their existing investment in storage infrastructure avoiding storage vendor lock-in. With proven real-time performance and server virtualisation allowing organisations manage all their storage as a single asset. StorLife's Single Instance Storage (SIS) technology offers further storage efficiency by ensuring that content is never duplicated, recognising when another user or application is trying to store the same content.
